No, as with all LemonEdge functionality, it is all included in the simple licensing model.
A little is our secret sauce, but we don't 'copy' the data as that would take too long. We have a way of overlaying your changes to the live system and all interconnected data to the changes being made. If you'd like to know more - drop us a note.
Data from a Canvas is deleted in full when deleted, with no residual data remaining on the server.
Selected data points from a Canvas are optionally selected to be promoted to the live environment (for example, when a Carry scenario is crystallised). If there is no inconsistency, i.e. no relevant changes have since occurred to the live data, then the selected data is copied to the live environment as if it had occurred in the live environment in the first place. If there is some inconsistency with the data in the live environment, e.g. if some production environment activity has taken place on that data since the Canvas copy was created, then the promotion to live is not permitted, with the pertinent reasons reported to the operator.
Yes, as with auditing in the live environment, every change made in LemonEdge is fully audited, including those made in any Canvas, including changes promoted from a Canvas copy to live.
Security in a LemonEdge Canvas operates at multiple levels. First, only authorised users can create/use Canvasses at the outset; second, within each Canvas, the same full role/security model applies as in the live environment. Third, a 4-eye approval process can be used to promote changes.
Upgrades to the LemonEdge system are equally applied to any Canvas, hence there is no loss of functionality, data, or the relationships between them in a pre-existing Canvas.
